Growing Warrigal Greens is a fun activity for me, this plant is a prolific salad green. A bush tucker food used by the convicts when they first settled in Sydney Cove.
Purchased Rye pizza base
1 cup warrigal greens
1 large fresh beetroot
1/2 cup of cooked Lima Beans
1/4 teaspoon of dried Lavender flowers
1/2 cup of Bio Cheese or mozzarella
Spread a thick layer of BBQ sauce across pizza base
Break up warrigal greens and place a lush amount over sauce
Thinly slice fresh beetroot without peeling, arrange in circular pattern
Place beans in centre of pizza
Crush lavender flowers and sprinkle over beans
Arrange cheese or substitute around beans
Cook for 15 mins at 200c until pizza base is brown and beetroot soft
This pizza is a treat at our house & smells fabulous!
